Kylene is a proudly South African export currently residing in Boise, Idaho. She is currently working on her Master of Science- Integrated Architecture and Design through University of Idaho. She already holds a Bachelor of Technology in Interior Design and an Associates degree in Graphic Design.
If asked to describe herself in five words it would be: ambitious, passionate, creative, adventurous and dedicated. She has designed over 100 retail stores, created branding for a successful student accommodation group and worked as Head of Crafts for a children's television show. She has displayed her paintings at art galleries in Boise and South Africa, the Boise Art Museum and has participated in many local art shows. In 2017, she was awarded Best Oil Painting for "Wild Horses" and "African Mama" was placed first in it's category. In 2015 "Beautiful Esther" was awarded First Place as well People's Choice Award at the 2015 Western Idaho Fair. She was placed first in the individual adult category of the 2015 Boise Chalk Art Festival. She is an exhibiting member of the Treasure Valley Artist's Alliance and was the City of Eagle's Artist of the Month, exhibiting at City Hall in March 2016. Kylene is currently the on-campus Interior Designer for Boise State University. |
